birthday weekend: day 2
mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia mafia
is basically all we did today. so much fun. wayne chen again missing out. so much fun. barbeque with chef master chief max. tekken with pork chop. thank you kevin and grace for coming (it has been a blessing to have you two as new friends!) haha...i don't know how to comprehend that i'm transforming into an adult as i am writing this post. well, at the end of the day, God, i am thankful to You for giving me 18 great years filled with laughter and joy. i know that certain days will not be as fun and enjoyable as this one, so i'm praying to You that when those days come, i will still praise You!

two for two
long beach was kind of a given after pomona...
i'm tired, but tonight was fun. after all,
planning an event gets more interesting when
the schedule almost entirely flips due to in-
convenient circumstances. i'm tired, but i
won't let the devil tempt me now to pity myself,
because self-pity is usually pride in disguise.
instead, God, i thank You for today and my
prayer is that through this guy/girl appreciation
night, our fellowship would grow closer together
and that we would strengthen in unity
as one body in Christ and ultimately bring
glory to Your Name.

riddle...
a man tries to buy a one-of-a-kind pair of shoes
from you and you ask him what he will offer.
at first, he observes the shoes and stares into
your eyes to come up with a number. he reluctantly
says, "i'll give you $1 for the shoes." of course,
you are not amused and sweat rolls down the man's
face due to the fact that he has said the wrong number.
however, he really wants the shoes, so again he offers.
"$50" he says. you think that much is good enough for
a normal pair of shoes, but these are no normal shoes.
"$500!" he squeals. at this, you say nothing, because
you are shocked at how great the offer is. fortunately
for you, he takes your silence as disapproval and shouts,
"$1,000!!!" is this guy made of money? you wonder.
pleased with the previous inflation, you say to him,
"i'll give you the shoes only if your next offer is
similar to the ones you've made so far." what does
the man unexpectedly offer you next?
