today at church, i helped serve bread
all while speaking mandarin to everyone
the funny thing was that the english ministry
laughed at my poor accent, called me cute
while the mandarin side looked at me
with pure astonishment, as if no one
has ever said to them "ni hao"

also, there was an old man who wore
a beanie and was rather noticeable,
because he took at least 10-15 pieces of bread
and i saw him a few times today
i called him "uncle guerrilla"
he attacked the bread, then retreated
slowly depleting the tables of food

yet they turn a blind eye away from the Lord
and some don't even protect His kingdom with a sword
defenseless, they'll fall to the devil
and experience suffering on a whole other level
they must understand that it is not about a mountain high,
because if their faith is based on emotion, their faith will surely die
trust your life to Christ alone
for it was He who died to atone
