my parents are wearing their winter sweaters
and are wrapped in a blanket together,
watching their daily source of television
while i'm rocking a t-shirt and sweat pants
if your mother makes you an exquisite dinner,
say one that consists of lobster and lamb,
on her wedding anniversary...wouldn't you say
that she loves you very dearly?
